I’m Pastor Dave and just joined the community of Hilmar Covenant in August, 2010. I’m excited to be here as we all discover the adventures God has in store as He leads us on our individual and collective journeys. I look forward to engaging everyone I meet and sharing life together. I enjoy speaking about God’s amazing love and His desire for us as we wrestle with what it means to follow Jesus. He welcomes us all and desires for us to be all we were created to be. And He wants us to love each other expressing the grace and generosity He showed to us. I am married to Kathy and we’ll celebrate our 30th anniversary in September, 2010. We have a daughter, Sarah (23), and a son, Mark (20) who live in SoCal but have promised to remain Giant fans. I grew up in Michigan, moved to California in 1981, and have lived in a number of places around the state. We currently live in Sacramento, though I am in Hilmar for half the week. If you’d like to know more, just ask.

I'm "Pastor Dan" and I have the distinction of being on staff here at HCC the longest: 30 years! My primary ministry has been music and worship arts, directing choirs of all ages, ensembles, handbells, instrumental music, dramas and musicals, dance and visual arts--everything related to Sunday worship and worship-related events. More recently, as I've been challenged and grown in my understanding of what it means to follow Jesus, I have taken on leadership in other areas: the Persecuted Church, global missions, care for our congregation, and prayer. It's great to know that we're never to old to learn new things--and that I'm still flexible enough to bend and twist, think and grow in my walk with Jesus! As I have moved in new directions, HCC has also been flexible enough to let me change my job description and responsibilities. This keeps me fresh and excited about serving the church and community of Hilmar.

Hi, I'm the Minister to Children and Youth. I absolutely love my job! I get to plan and implement programs that keep the children engaged and help them obtain a deeper understanding of Jesus. Through Music, Sports, Crafts, Games, and Bible Stories, we have created a Bible-based ministry that kids want to be a part of. We here at Hilmar Covenant Church want your kids to feel needed, valued and connected. We offer after school programs, such as Kid Zone, B.O.B., Youth Choir, Drama Team, and Karate for Christ. Kids have an amazing gift to keep you energized and feeling young. Jr. Highers always have a way of challenging you to keep you creative and on your toes. What a joy it is to serve our most precious gifts - our children. I have been working with Children and Youth for over 20 years now. I have been married for 20 years to my husband, Eric, and we have raised our two girls, Ashley (17) and Brianna (13). Give me a call if you have any questions or comments, I would love to talk with you! E-mail Janelle at:

I am always introduced as "Ms. Lynn". Even my husband calls me this. I am the mother of two grown sons and two grown stepchildren. Being a grandmother is such a blessing! My paying job is "across the street." I have been the director of Hilmar Christian Children's Center for 16 years. We serve children ages two to twelve. Our ministry consists of preschool, day care and before and after school care. The center staff strive to meet the needs of both working families and stay at home moms/dads. Several children are on our Family Assistance program. This program helps families who are in need and cannot afford to pay. We also introduce parents to community and county resources. I also have the pleasure of being a part of our church's Prayer Team Ministry. In July of '07, I experienced the fulfillment of a life long dream--to be on the team of a short term mission trip--to Africa. I am daily challenged by the things I learned in Kenya. My prayer is that God will continue to open my eyes, ears and heart to the needs of his people, and how best to show them God's love by addressing those needs. E-mail Lynn at:

My wife, Fern, and I early on committed our lives to serve God by helping and encouraging our friends and neighbors. At first around Hilmar, where we grew up, but eventually in Congo, Africa, where we worked for 30 years, and later in Mexico where we worked for 3 years.
When we retired we wanted to do the same reaching out and sharing in our home, community and church. Since Fern's illness, resulting in her becoming somewhat handicapped, she primarily prays while I reach out to the elderly and to the sick people unable to leave their homes easily. I also visit the sick in hospitals and convalescent homes. I have found many older people, who previously did not care to talk of salvation and hope of eternal life with God, now are quite willing to discuss and make decisions about these matters. Together we bring God's love and especially His grace. We try to bring joy, hope and a positive attitude to all by centering their lives upon Jesus Christ through prayer.

I'm Laurie, the "Minister of Details" or to most, your church secretary. Being Hilmar Covenant Church's secretary for over 2 decades embodies who I am and my gifts. My gift of service is wrapped up in my job here supporting others and my commitment to church staff, congregation, and the whole community is reflected in my many years here. I've had the joy of serving a stable group of pastors and church leaders as well as seeing our congregation pass the century mark. Now I am working hard with the entire staff to grow Hilmar Covenant into the next 100 years while being Christ's hands and feet to Hilmar and the world. E-mail Laurie at:
